After The Flood : What Left Inside?

Tiga minggu setelah banjir besar yang menerpa Jakarta, air tidak lagi mengenangi rumah-rumah, tiada lagi perahu karet yang datang, seakan semua telah kembali ke sedia kala. Para penduduk pun sudah kembali ke rumahnya masing-masing, membersihkan lumpur yang dibawa oleh banjir serta melihat apa yang masih tersisa...

Kampung Pulo, Jatinegara adalah daerah padat penduduk yang paling parah terkena banjir. Hampir lima meter ketinggian air yang menenggelamkan rumah-rumah di kawasan bantaran kali Ciliwung itu. Tiga minggu setelah banjir menghantam area tersebut, saya mencoba mendokumentasikan apa yang masih tersisa setelah air dan lumpur menenggelamkan rumah mereka...

Three weeks has past after the big flood that strucked Jakarta, no more water in houses, no more rubber boats coming, seems that everything is back like it used to. People already back in their houses, cleaning the flood-carried mud and seeing what left inside...

Kampung Pulo, Jatinegara is a heavily-populated housing where the worst flood occured. The water level was reaching five meters which drowned the homes in the area located at the banks of Ciliwung river. Three weeks after the flood strucked the area, I tried to document what left after water and mud drowned their houses...
